Inexpensive Beach Vacations

Inexpensive Beach Vacations

Inexpensive beach vacations are a great way to enjoy the beach at great prices. In the middle of the icy cold winters, when I’m shivering uncontrollably, all I can think about is taking a vacation. Some of the best winter escapes happen to be beach vacations. Oh, there’s nothing better than leaving behind inches of snow and finding yourself on an exotic warm beach hours later. During the cold months, beach vacations in the USA aren’t easy to find. The west coast isn’t always as warm as I would hope for. But, Hawaii certainly is. Hawaii offers the most spectacular beach vacations you could ever imagine. I have only ever been able to afford to travel to Hawaii one time in my thirty years. But I guarantee that someday, there will be more Hawaii beach vacations.

I’m a big fan of Caribbean island beach vacations. I’ve been to some of the nicest of islands and you just can’t go wrong with the beaches. Even the Dominican Republic, in its tourist parts, has some gorgeous beaches. The sandy escape of St. Lucia was my personal favorite, though also one of my priciest of beach vacations I’ve taken. I have a beautiful sunset picture that I personally took in Puerto Rico. For sentimental reasons, Puerto Rico was my favorite of my many lifetime beach vacations. I can’t say that it was the best of islands, but my memories there are etched in perfection in my mind. The photo I have looks like something that you would see in an art gallery, as the colors are simply brilliant. I was incredibly proud of myself for having captured such an image of perfection in the first place. I’m normally not very talented with a camera. Nevertheless, the proof is hanging on my bedroom wall.

With a little bit of research, you just may be able to find some great travel deals. Whether you utilize the talents of a travel agent or trust an internet site or agency to do your research for you, there are some great bargains when it comes to Inexpensive Beach Vacations If you’re flexible and don’t have your heart set on an expensive island, you can most definitely get a wonderful exotic escape for a reasonable cost. But, if you’re looking for the most lavish of beach vacations, well, they are easy to find as well. My dream vacation destination is Turtle Island. If you do some research on Turtle Island, you’ll find that you can’t stay there for less than $1,000 a night. I would imagine it’s a retreat for only the rich and famous and I am definitely not in that category. Perhaps if I would have access to the winning lottery numbers in advance, I could find out exactly what the beaches in Turtle Island really look like up close and personal. Until then, I’ll continue to plan Inexpensive Beach Vacations and be perfectly content exploring more of the Caribbean

Family Vacation Spots

Family Vacation Spots

Family Vacation Spots for the whole family to enjoy. When you have a family and career, it’s often hard to find time to just relax and have fun. We all need and crave those peaceful getaways where work is left behind and lounging becomes priority.  There are a spectrum of family vacation spots at our fingertips.  It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a Disney World cruise or a week in mountains, family vacation spots are not only simple to locate, but affordable as well.

Remember way back when your parents took you on the family vacation.  It was probably a lot more fun than you lead on.  Even though it was with your parents, and most likely involved a station wagon, and hours with your caring siblings, you loved it.  How did our parents ever find those cool family vacation spots?  There was no Internet!  I know that the web certainly helps me plan a vacation for my family.  If you jump online and type in “vacations,” you will be flooded with an abundance of options and deals.  Everyone is trying to pitch the best deal.  There is definitely no shortage of ideas when it comes to vacations.

Some of the more popular family vacation spots include Disney World and Disney Land.  We just can’t seem to stay away from that darn mouse.  The package deals offer all kinds of trips to choose from.  When in search of a family vacation package, it is a great idea to plan ahead.  This way you can beat the seasonal rushes.  When summer hits, everyone is going on some kind of vacation.  Plan in advance and you will not only get what you want, but get it at a cheaper price.  This especially applies to air fair.  If you fly often, you certainly know the deals that come with getting tickets in advance.  You can save some major bucks.

No matter where your family vacation spots lies, it is beneficial to check into the area before making that trip.  If you’re not familiar with the place, you want to make sure you don’t get suck in a bad area.  Family vacations are meant to be relaxing, not dangerous.  One of the greatest family vacation spots I visited with my wife and daughter is Charleston, South Carolina.  We had a blast moseying around this relaxing tourist attraction.  The cobblestone streets were amazing.  I have to admit that it was hard to leave it behind.  Whether you’re headed to the coast or a theme park, be sure to check out all the specials available on the web.  You will be glad you did.

Cheap Weekend Trips

Cheap Weekend Trips

Cheap weekend trips are a great way to get away. The work week can be incredibly hectic and chaotic for most people. There are weeks that go by that my family and I simply pass each other in the halls and fight for the bathroom. When the weekends arrive, we stare at each other as if we were strangers. We live for weekend trips. My parents own a beach house two hours from my home. That allows for us to take some well deserved cheap weekend trips every so often. My husband and I strive to take at least one weekend a month for a family getaway and every other month we’ll add a cheap weekend trips for just the two of us.

Weekend trips can do wonders for a marriage and for family life. It is a chance to connect with your loved ones while away from home and the everyday stresses that go along with being at home. I don’t think it matters where your cheap weekend trips take you, as long as you are all together. Whether it happens to be an outing to the mountains or the beach, it is quality time that you are spending together. Several times a year, if the finances allow, my husband and I look into some more remote weekend trips. Perhaps we’ll look at a weekend cruise or whirlwind trip to another city. Last year, we decided to leave on a Thursday night and spend the 3 day weekend in Hollywood. Why? Simply because it sounded like fun and was spontaneous. Could we afford it? Yes, but only because it was one of those last minute cheap weekend trips that airlines and hotels offer excellent discounts on. We certainly aren’t a family that is made of money but more often than not we find weekend trips that we can afford simply because they are great bargains. That doesn’t mean that everyone should wait until the last moment to plan a weekend escape. However, sometimes weekend trips can turn out to be a real bargain if you do decide until the last moment to travel.

Some of the best weekend trips and getaways can be to someplace in your own city. Pick a fancy bed and breakfast you’ve always admired and spend one or two nights there. Camp out at a local campground if you love the outdoors. You don’t have to travel very far from home to enjoy being with your friends or family. There are times when you want to be out of your house but just don’t want to travel very far. With the gas prices nowadays, local weekend trips make the most sense. Every once in a while, you just may discover something that you’ve never noticed before. It’s even better if you discover that with your loved ones

Cheap Weekend Trips

Cheap Weekend Trips

Cheap weekend trips that are great ways to spend your weekend. For the most part, you don’t want to go to far when you go on  cheap weekend trips, but you do want to go far enough where you feel like you are away from it all, and that your stresses are left far behind.

The best way to find cheap weekend trips is start by searching your own state for places to go and things to do. Your own state’s website may have a tourism site, and you can find many great ideas there. You can also search the states nearby if you think it is feasible to drive that far for something to do. You want to find relaxing or interesting things to do, but make sure it is something familiar. If you want to learn to ski, weekend trips aren’t the best time to attempt this. You might want to save the skiing lessons for when you have more time.

After you have chosen your destination, look for a suitable place to stay while you are there. Decide if you want a hotel, inn, or perhaps a bed and breakfast, and then search online for deals and packages that might interest you. Don’t forget to look for reviews of the places you are considering so you don’t end up in a bad spot, or in a hotel that is run down and dirty. Remember that in most cases if you purchase online and pay in full, you will get a cheaper rate.

After you know where you are going, and where you are going to stay, use one of the many online mapping sites to map out your car ride. Look for the site that has the most detailed directions, and compare directions to see which ones you think are the clearest. If you have an AAA membership, you can ask them to map out a route for you, and they usually do this for no fee.

Cheap weekend trips can be great getaways as long as you plan well. The last thing you want is to be lost in the middle of nowhere when you have to be at work bright and early the next morning. Plan ahead for cheap weekend trips so that by the time you go, you are ready, and you don’t have to think about directions, reservations, or what you are going to do. You can just enjoy.

Hong Kong Travel Guide

Hong Kong Travel Guide

Traveling to Hong Kong? Get this free Hong Kong Travel Guide for the perfect trip. During a trip to Asia with my husband, we saw quite a bit of Japan and China. We also took a few days to visit Hong Kong. This city is one of the most fascinating places to spend time in and I would recommend it to anyone. The first thing to hit you is the energy of the place. It’s a noisy, chaotic throng of people and has wonderful contrasting elements. The Chinese tradition rubs along with the Western influences. Sometimes a run down apartment block is immediately behind a modern glass fronted skyscraper.

We flew in from Tokyo and got into Kowloon, which is just across the water from the central part of the city. When you visit Hong Kong, you need to walk the narrow streets and give yourself time to acclimatize. Several buildings were covered in scaffolding. This is noteworthy because they use bamboo scaffolding in this part of the world. It looks somewhat fragile but it seems to do the job. We found a small, cheap hotel to stay in run by a man with the unlikely name of Charlie Chan. Next morning, we woke fresh and eager to explore but first we needed breakfast. If you visit Hong Kong, anything is possible and we found a welcoming Irish bar that served a full English fry up.

We then took in some of the sights and smells, the very English looking buses, the food stalls full of seafood and vegetables we didn’t know the name of, and the advertising hoardings and giant video screens. We had to go to the Foreign Affairs Office to apply for our visas to allow us into China for the next stage of our trip. Thankfully, this was done speedily and efficiently. The next stop was to visit friends who live at the top of a gated complex up in the hills. They used to visit Hong Kong and then decided to stay.  The view from their balcony is amazing. That evening, we all went bar hopping, enjoyed some live music, and met some other residents. To visit Hong Kong is to have a cosmopolitan experience, as lots of British, American, and Australian people live and work there.

Next day, we went into the New Territories and the Monastery of Ten Thousand Buddhas. This is one of the places when you visit Hong Kong where you can take a breather from the city and enjoy some tranquility. The Monastery is high up in the hills near the town of Sha Tin, and you have to climb up four hundred steps to get to it. Life-size Buddha statues line the way. It’s worth the climb, when you see the giant pagoda at the top and the temple. The interior of the temple is truly breathtaking with small statues of Buddhas lining the walls numbering not 10,000 but actually 13,000.

After this, we went back to Kowloon and looked round a very exclusive shop selling items made from mammoth ivory. No one should visit Hong Kong without spending time on the Waterfront, so we went down after dark and marveled at the skyscrapers. These buildings contain some of the most expensive office spaces in the world. Our last night in our visit to Hong Kong was spent looking at the twinkling lights from the boats in the harbor, reflected in the water. Next morning, we flew to Beijing but that’s another story!

Airline Fares

“Airline Fare’”

Have you ever wondered about the unfairness of airline fares? I have, and constantly at that. Each time I get into a flight I make it a point to ask my co passengers, at least those within hearing distance, what airline fares they paid for the privilege of traveling together. And each time to their surprise, and my glee, they have all provided different amounts. In one memorable case, the difference in airline fares that a man and his co-passenger in the next seat paid was vast enough to straddle a couple of hundred dollars. Which led to a very amusing fight that the cabin crew was hard pressed to break up.

But anyways, coming back to the topic of airline fares, they really are atrocious. I mean, I have booked my tickets at various times. When time has been on my side, I have made my bookings well in advance. And especially when it comes to business travel, I have often been forced to make my bookings at the last minute. Believe it or not, there are times when I have paid more expensive airline fares for my bookings at leisure than the airline fares I paid for my last minute rush. How do you explain that?

A friend in the airline industry then told me about how the system actually works. Usually an airline operator has a basic cost that they need to cover in order to make their trip profitable. This (which is very different from the airline fares we pay) is a low figure that includes fuel charges, service charges and salaries and equipment cost etc. The airline fares we pay are this base component, plus the profit margin of the airlines, plus the taxes and surcharges imposed by the airport and finally, the commissions charged by various tourist operators or booking agents.

Now the affordability of your airline fare depends almost entirely on the premium that your agent is going to charge you for. If it is someone whom you deal with on a fairly regular basis, he may decrease the commission you have to pay out. If it is someone you are dealing with for the first time, be prepared to pay through your nose. Be that as it may, try to bargain with your travel agent. If the trip is international and entails hotel bookings as well, ask them if they will cover your visa charges. If the trip is domestic, ask them if they can provide you with vouchers of any sort. These travel agents are usually a well connected lot and depending on your destination, they just might have the right deal to sweeten your airline fare!

Adventure Travel

Adventure Travel

Adventure Travel is simply adding a little bit of spice to a typical vacation. For some people, the perfect vacation is to find a five star hotel or beach where you can every whim catered to and every indulgence fulfilled. Others may seek a more family style excursion with amusement parks and theme parks. And yet others may opt for a cruise or other entertainment vacation. However there are those who desire to go “where no man has gone before”. There are those who enjoy walking on the wild side. For these people, there exists adventure travel.

Adventure travel
may take you kayaking in Glacier Bay, Alaska. You may choose to go canoeing and camping in the boundary waters of Northern Minnesota. You may choose to travel the world always seeking the path less traveled. You may travel to the rainforests of the Amazon or the Sahara Desert. You may go on an African Safari or mountain climbing in Tibet.

Beginners can get started in adventure travel easily. Many places offer guided and equipped tours into adventure areas. Experienced outfitters can provide you with all the equipment and the guide you need to start in adventure travel. More experienced adventures may plan their own trips and use their own equipment.

Adventure travel may also include ecotravel or travel with a purpose. Perhaps your adventure travel vacation could include a visit to an African refugee camp or helping to feed the hungry in a third world nation.

Perhaps your adventure travel will take to you to South America visiting ruins of the ancient Aztec civilization. Maybe your adventure travel will take you to the pyramids of Egypt.

Adventure travel is about discovering something new. Perhaps the adventure is the sport and the activity such as kayaking, canoeing, camping, mountain climbing, hiking and more. But adventure travel is not limited to sport. Adventure travel includes adventures in science visiting the Antarctic or the Amazon rainforest. Adventure travel includes discovering history in the Middle East or South America. Adventure travel can take you into the depths of winter or into the heat of summer.

No matter where you go or what you do, adventure travel is all about traveling on the road less traveled, learning about the world, learning about other people and other cultures. Adventure travel can take you to the extremes. You can go to the most extreme and remote parts of the world. You can engage in extreme sports. You can visit extreme history.

There are many travel agents available to help you plan your next adventure travel vacation.

Beach Vacation Rentals California

Beach Vacation Rentals California

Beach Vacation Rentals California are so incredibly easy to find that all you need do is be looking for a real, full-time place to live and get hit with the hundreds of ads for Beach Vacation Rentals California, instead.  It is maddening for a desperate person in transition, but for one who is looking for actual weekend fling space, it is Valhalla in disguise.

So, how do you find these California beach vacation rentals with little effort and even fewer lies?  Go to Craigslist and look in the HOUSING section.  See?  That’s pretty deceptive a category, for most of us would interpret it to mean places to “house” yourself for longer than a dip in the sea.  Anyway, type in a minimum and maximum dollar amount, say 100.00 to 300.00.

Here is an example of what you will be made privy to, year round (I am doing this in August, so the offerings are going to be either plentiful (with no one taking upBeach Vacation Rentals California because they are strapped—because of the damned war—or with very few options because most are all taken, in use right now, having been advertised MONTHS ago…say in February):

In Cedar Pines there is a large one-bedroom loft that sleeps six, for $125 a night.  The ad says staying here is like “roughing it” in a five-star resort.  Hmmm.  I’m thinking woods, a sleeping bag, a knife, and a first aid kit, but evidently, it’s a sprawling cabin deal with appliances, electricity, lights, gas cooking and heating, etc..  Whatever floats your summertime boat….

In Santa Cruz there are places like the “mid-week special”, a bed and breakfast inn deal for $165 a day—which is right on (or a few yards away from) the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Emeryville touts a $225 special, a fully furnished condo on the bay, with double bunk beds and views and local sites that make this a contender in the California beach vacation rentals market despite its price…for it is for the upcoming Labor Day, when it for many it is well worth a grand to get away.

And, of course, there is Tahoe, with everything from Incline Village prestige to West Shore (North Tahoe) remodeled and rustic cabin play.

Much further south you can of course find Beach Vacation Rentals California that run from 200 a night for a Mammoth Lake condo to the 7900! On the ocean Malibu spread.

So hey, what’s your weekend sanity worth!?

Cheap Hotel Deals

Cheap Hotel Deals

Cheap Hotel Deals can save you money while planning your trip. Everyone deserves a vacation. But, not everyone can always afford a vacation. Travel can be incredibly expensive these days, with hidden fees and extra charges coming out of nowhere. If you’re looking to travel for less money, there are cheap hotel deals to be found. If you’re willing to do a little bit of research and call places in advance, you are guaranteed to find some cheap hotel deals.

I’ve met quite a few people in my years who travel for a living. Their companies don’t always provide them with lodging and it may be up to the individuals to find their own hotels. Sometimes, cheap hotel deals leave those frequent travelers sleeping in a room that they may not be comfortable closing their eyes that night. With some research and knowledge of your destination, you can find some cheap hotel deals that will better suit your needs and provide a lot more comfort.

If you’re looking to travel for pleasure, whether it be with family, friends or solo, take some time to look into what kind of cheap hotel deals you can find. If saving money isn’t an issue, than you shouldn’t even be reading this article. However, if you are a typical traveler like myself who cannot afford tons of luxury, ask yourself how educated you are on what your destination has to offer. If you are familiar with your destination and have taken the time to narrow down a specific area to certain lodging, you are much more likely to get a hold of some cheap hotel deals. Sometimes, hotels will offer deals through their websites. Other times, if you call to make reservations you simply have to ask if they have any deals or packages that are available. While they may not advertise them over the phone, asking will open up the window to finding cheap hotel deals that you may not have been able to previously take advantage of.

The internet has a vast offering of travel sites that promise to have the best deals you will find. Don’t take their word for it; shop around. Compare prices on various sites. You may be able to save a few hundred dollars or a few cents here and there but end up with cheap hotel deals that you never knew existed. Many times, if your itinerary is flexible you can find even more cheap hotel deals if you are willing to travel during the week. Hotel stays on weekends are always more expensive than weekdays. No matter what your destination is or what your budget may be, take a little extra time to research some cheap hotel deals. You may end up with a wonderful hotel and extra cash for spending.

Beach Rentals Vacation

Filed under: Beach Rentals Vacation, Beach vacation rentals — admin @ 9:11 pm

“Beach Rentals Vacation”Beach vacation rentals are a classic for you and your family to make the most of your time together. Nothing feels better than staying together in your beach vacation rentals, just inhaling the salty sea air and making the most of your time spent together. There is just nothing that you will enjoy better, and you can have a beach vacation rental on nearly any island, or peninsula in the world nowadays. Chances are, if there is a beach, there will be beach vacation rentals available.

My favorite beach vacation destination personally, is Maui. There is this lovely, almost palatial house that we rent every year, me and the wife and our two kids, Sandy and Mandy (they’re twins.) Our beach vacation rental is located not far from town, if we want to go there for a delicious seafood dinner, and yet it is far enough to let us enjoy the serenity of inhabiting the beach by ourselves. We can go scuba diving, para sailing, or even snorkelling, touring the scenic coral reef just yards beneath the waves. Not many beach vacation rentals get any better than this.

We first heard about beach vacation rentals years ago. We have the fortune of having a good travel agent who knows us and our interests well. We back then used to love to tour the cities of the world during our vacations Paris, London, Madrid – we used to see them all, and enjoy all of the popular tourist sites in every single one of them. But when my wife expressed the desire to try something different, that’s when our travel agent immediately suggested beach vacation rentals as a possible alternative.

Initially, I will have to admit, I was skeptical. I loved to travel, not just in the sense of going someplace different, but in wandering and exploring while I was there. The cities of the world gave me so much to look at and explore, that I didn’t think that the serenity of the beach would make up for this chance to see the sites. In truth, I still miss those days sometimes, but I’ve got to admit, lying on the beach all day just working on my tan has its perks, and now that we have the kids, beach vacation rentals really do make much more sense than travelling to far away cities all over the world.
