Cheap Air Travel

Cheap Air Travel
Taking a vacation is always a welcome thing. The cost of the airline tickets isn’t nearly as entertaining.

There are ways to find Cheap Air Travel . The first thing to do is invest some time in research. If you call a travel agent they will offer you a fare that might seem reasonable but it’s important to remember that the agent has to make money and therefore they normally need to charge service fees.

One of the best ways to find Cheap Air Travel is to look on the internet. In recent years there has been an onslaught of websites that offer discount travel. The flights are the same ones that are booked through the airlines directly and the service is exactly the same.

You can begin your search by visiting one of the search engines. Do a search on discount air travel and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the number of results. You can then visit a few sites and compare the prices of flights on the dates to the destination you desire.

Once you find a flight that fits your preference and budget you simply purchase a ticket. Most tickets are now e-tickets or electronic tickets. This simply means that you don’t receive a hard copy of your ticket, instead when you check-in with the airline they will issue you your boarding pass.

One of the drawbacks of purchasing Cheap Air Travel is that there are often penalties if you decide to cancel or change your flight. For that reason it’s important to be firm about your upcoming plans and to choose an itinerary that you know you’ll be able to stick to.

Another point to consider when you are searching for Cheap Air Travel is last minute deals. Many airlines offer very good fares a day or two before the day of the flight. The reason is that they want the airplane to be as full as possible. This can be difficult to plan for and it’s not advisable if you have your heart set on a certain destination on a particular date.

The time of year you travel can also impact whether or not you find Cheap Air Travel. Certain weeks are considered very popular and therefore fares are increased. Some of those time periods include late December, the month of March and the summer, in particular July and August. One of the reasons is because more families are traveling during this period because of school holidays.

Cheap Air Travel can be found, it’s just a matter of planning and research. You’ll be glad you invested the time and the effort once you realize how much money you really can save.

Christmas Vacations

Christmas Vacations

Over the Christmas vacation I was home with both of my children. We had a very nice time together and enjoyed this opportunity to escape our regular, hectic routine and be together as a family.

My husband took the kids outside one sunny afternoon. They built a great snow fort together. They made it by rolling large snowballs and arranging them in a circle. Then they stacked more snowballs upon the first layer created a wall all the way around. The kids had a blast and burned off lots of energy and my husband got to feel like a kid again.

We would have liked to go away on holidays over the Christmas vacation, however this plan is on hold for the time being. We did get a chance to spend extra time with friends and family and that was a lot of fun as well.

Another day during the Christmas vacation, a friend of the family invited the children on a hike through the woods. We packed up a lunch and bundled the kids up nice and warm and then they were off! Our friend had built a sort of structure to serve as a shelter. It consisted of a six foot bench, with a partial roof, but this was plenty of room for the kids to sit and eat their lunch before heading home from their hike.

We went for dinner at another couple’s home. They cooked a huge dinner and we crowded around the table to enjoy the food and their company. Then we ended up in their son’s bedroom, tearing wallpaper off his bedroom walls, as they are in the middle of renovations. This was an unexpected activity, but was a lot of fun, even if it’s not your typical Christmas vacations endeavor. After working away on his room, we all headed outside. Our friends built a huge bonfire and we gathered around, drinking hot chocolate.

My sister came to stay for a week during the Christmas vacation as well. She brought along her chihuahua puppy. Our kids were busy with that little dog from morning until night. As a special surprise, my other sister surprised us with tickets for the Gwen Stefani concert. It was a nice way to spend an evening with our visiting sister and a great surprise for all of us.

When the Christmas vacation finally ended, the kids were not too eager to go back to school. However, as parents we were pretty tired out and happy to see them off to school until the next vacation comes along some time in March.
